Similarity:

No matter GB or ASTM standard Geocell, for same item, they have the same appearance, like same height, welding distance, thickness, expanded cell size, and expanded area size.

Difference:

The difference between GB and ASTM standard Geocell is they use different raw materials, so they have different specifications.

GB standard Geocell uses recycled HDPE resin, the seam peel strength is ≥10KN/m, tensile strength is ≥16KN/m. The price of our GB standard Geocell is very competitive, and we sell very large quantities to customers in Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines, most for application of slope protection, erosion control and soil stabilization.

ASTM standard Geocell uses 100% virgin HDPE resin, which has much better values in strength, the seam peel strength is ≥14.2KN/m, and tensile strength is ≥22KN/m.

For Geocell retaining wall projects, must use ASTM standard Geocell. When adding some additives(like light stabilizers and antioxidants) to virgin HDPE resin, the Environmental stress crack resistance(ESCR) can reach 5000 hours and Oxidation induction time(OIT) can reach 150 minutes. Due to the Geocells being exposed under the sun for a long time, so these 2 specifications are very important for retaining wall projects.

Due to the quality of ASTM standard is much better than GB standard, so the price is a little higher accordingly, we most sell them to the USA, Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia.
