Excell HDPE Geocell and PRS Neoweb

One day, a customer from Chile ask me the question as below:

Are the geocells produced by Excell similar to those produced by PRS, the Neoloy geocells?

Please check my answer as follows:

Yes, similar.

Our Excell Geocell and PRS Neoweb is a similar product, they have the same functions and applications: both can improve the performance of construction materials, reduces vertical differential settlement into soft subgrades, and enhance the load-bearing capacity. But they still have a little difference:

1, Neoweb add other materials to increase their Geocell stiffness, but at the same time decreases the sheet strength.  Our Geocell only uses HDPE resin as raw material, remain the high strength of the HDPE Sheet, and seam peel strength is the most important value for Geocell.

2, Due to their special and patent formula, no one produces them in the world, so their Neoweb price is very very high. Our Excell price is much more competitive.

I’d like to explain the first difference in detail to you here. For this specification, you can check below our testing report for ASTM Geocell, with testing Method ISO 13426 Method C, our seam peel strength can reach 37KN/m.

But for Neoweb, same testing method, they only can reach 19KN/m, and just our GB Geocell already can reach 19KN/m.
